Live Like No One Else

Live like no one else so you can live like no one else…

What does that mean to you?

This was the direction my life coach, Dani Johnson, in 2007 set me on… she was mainly speaking of lifestyle to develop us mentally to have financial freedom.

Since 2007, we have paid off our home and are debt free. Yes, having zero debt is freedom however when I got ill in 2014, I became in imprisoned in my body. I lived like everyone else, especially the group of people that said, “I eat healthy!”

My average day was black coffee and maybe some greek yogurt for breakfast, some salsa and chips or a salad for lunch and a sensible dinner… for example, Zatarans Red Beans and Rice, in a taco salad bowl, topped with lettuce, olives, salsa, avocado, greek yogurt and maybe some grilled meat. (This was my favorite dinner before I got ill.) It seems pretty sensible right?

Things I didn’t know back then…

*My body has an inflammatory response to different foods (tomatoes, peppers, all night shades)

*My blood sugar spikes when I eat rice, tortillas and pretty much anything white.

*Foods that come from a box are harmful to our health… they are full of added ingredients that break down our immune systems and brings on diseases like, cancer, auto-immune disorders and can even make us more susceptible to viruses, like the common cold and yes, even Covid-19.

When we eat foods that cause a roller coaster in our glucose levels continuously throughout the day, we are inviting dysfunction in our bodies!

I have been so fortunate to be led to heal my body holistically and live like no one else in another facet of my life. The way I eat, the way I think and the way I move.

This life can be rather lonely and challenging! This is why we have to find a community of others that are like-minded and desire to live differently, be challenged by taking the time to cook whole-foods, remove old-mindsets that continually draw us back in to our dysfunctional lifestyle, creating space in our schedules to breathe, meditate and stretch and recognizing, knowing and living in the confidence that we were created in His image… How are we intended to feed ourselves, mind, body and soul?

I challenge you today to begin living like now one else… take the time to be healthy before illness makes you take the time.

Out of the mouth of Dani, look at what everyone else is doing and do the exact opposite!

It is so hard to do, I struggle daily!

One way to live like no one else, start making your own sauces and salad dressings. Make them into flavor blasters that you can add to any dish and always boost the healing medicine of ingredients to your salads, vegetables and meats.

To show my appreciation for you visiting this blog, you will find one of my favorite recipes. Enjoy!!
